How to get?

We cannot praise our Karelian roads unfortunately. If you are planning to travel by car you should know that car-rent services are not rendered here. You can book an individual transfer with a driver or take a bus, for example, to get from one town to another.

Most of Karelian sights are situated on the islands and you will have to use a boat in summer time or helicopter both in summer and in winter. Navigation period opens in May and closes at the end of September. There are some boats following a fixed time-schedule every day and it is possible to arrange a special excursion tour.
