Kostomuksha

The development of the town Kostomuksha is in the first turn connected with ore mining and processing enterprise. Its construction originated in the 1970-ties. Kostomuksha got the status of the town in 1983. The town is situated close to the Finish border that undoubtedly had its reflection on the development of versatile relations. The cultural life of Kostomuksha is very active. The festivals of chamber music are held there annually, the foreign and Russian actors and dancers, the performers of classical music, romance and opera arias are a significant part of them. Visitors from all the corners of the republic and from abroad come there to visit the annual festival of rock music.
